Happy Chuseok to all Koreans! ^^

Last weekend, the Koreans celebrated Chuseok day (thanksgiving day, also known as Mooncake festival for us Malaysians.) It was a get together time for all family members where they spend time together doing family traditions and other stuffs. We left on Thursday after class. Thanks to Sojin that offered us (Christine, Joanne and I) to stay in her house for 4 days. :)

As you can see, the bus terminal was CROWDED with people because everybody was rushing to get a ticket to back back home.. It was crazy. 1st time in Korea where i lined up for 30 minutes just to get a bus ticket. I wonder how long did the others wait?

Look at them!

After 3 hours of travelling, we finally arrived to Sojin's house. Welcomed warmly by their family.

This happened on the 2nd day where we were taught how to make some traditional food. Sojin the teacher of the day.. haha..

if i'm not wrong, the ingredient is rice plus other stuffs.. haha..

It's actually like dumpling. Just that the shape is a little rounder if compared to dumpling.

The most unique one is mine!! haha.. made it look like curry puff..

Everybody participating in making the dumpling.

The next day Sojin's father brought us to the beach during the afternoon to participate in some event..
Look at the scenery. It's awesome i tell you!

I was admiring the sky the whole day..

Tadaa! look at the walls! It's actually full of paintings. (almost 2.7km long). along the beach. it's probably the longest art ever made by the Koreans.

And the best part is.,

we get to participate in it!

Look at the kid placing his mark in the remarkable event. They're planning to collect 2 million hand prints throughout this whole event.

Can u see my name over there? ^^

I guess my name will be here for quite some time.. hehe..

Look at joanne's name.. so poor thing cannot fit everything inside.. haha..

Took all the pictures along the way while i was in the car. So just browse thru and see for yrself. All the different kinds of paintings.

the shadow of the day..

some of them are really nice. but some of them aren't.. so yeah.. but i guess each paintings symbolizes something..

i love this drawing..

Tried to take the picture of the sunset. But sadly my phone couldn't take it..

Couldn't go down to the beach because the wind was just too strong.

Can u see the moon over there?

Stayed in some hotel for the last night before heading home. Took a picture of the clouds again.. I just can't stop taking pictures of it..

Came back on Sunday, and right after that, i headed to Osan to visit Nikita and her relatives. Thanks for the lunch and dinner which i really really enjoyed it!
Playing Korean Poker.. haha..

Thanks to Sojin's family that gave me 3 pairs of socks and a dictionary! It was certainly a great weekend! now i'm all ready for midterm exams! :)
